Grayson County Healthcare Foundation (GCHF) offers Community Health Advancement Grants for larger community health projects and programs benefiting Grayson County, Kentucky. The Foundation’s stated focus is healthcare, wellness and safety, including expanding healthcare availability, improving access, promoting health and wellness, and providing health and safety education.
Funding and Deadline
Community Health Advancement Grants are for funding requests that exceed $50,000. GCHF does not publish a universal maximum award amount on its controlling grant page. The current Letter of Intent window is August 15 through September 30, 2026. The corresponding application submission window is November 15 through December 31, with award notifications by February 28. GCHF does not publish a closing clock time or time zone.
Eligibility
Prospective grantees should be located in Grayson County, Kentucky, or demonstrate that grant funds will benefit Grayson County individuals or communities. Applicants generally must be tax-exempt under IRC 501(c)(3) or 170(c) and classified as a public charity under 509(a), unless the Board identifies an unmet healthcare need that warrants another structure. Organizations with multi-year GCHF grants generally may not request additional funding until prior funds are expended or obligated and the final evaluation report has been submitted.
Restrictions
GCHF excludes principally religious purposes, most pass-through grants, gala or social-fundraiser underwriting, major medical research without a qualifying Grayson County collaboration, major arts organizations, political candidate/party/PAC support, international organizations, annual or holiday giving campaigns, and 509(a)(3) Type III supporting organizations. All awards remain discretionary.
Submission
A Letter of Intent is required and is submitted through the GCHF Grant Application Portal. Applicants must create an account and log in. GCHF provides a public preview link for LOI questions.
