The 2026 Kentucky Farm Bureau Women’s Mini-Grant Program is administered through the Kentucky Farm Bureau Education Foundation and provides small competitive awards to county Farm Bureaus for agriculture-literacy education projects.
Funding
Grant requests may be up to $500. The current 2026 application does not state a matching-funds or cost-share requirement, and Atlas does not infer one.
Eligible Applicants
Only county Farm Bureaus may apply. Priority is given to programs demonstrating a need for financial support. Prior recipients of the Kentucky Farm Bureau Women’s Mini-Grant Program must wait three years before reapplying. Only one application per county will be accepted.
Eligible Project Purpose
Projects must provide education for preschool through grade 12 students or adults and increase agricultural literacy for the target group. Selection criteria emphasize creative engagement with the food and fiber system, a strong agriculture-and-education connection, an organized work plan and timeline, a clear cost-effective budget, and expansion of existing agriculture-education efforts to new audiences, grade levels or subjects.
Unallowable Costs
The 2026 application states that funding is not available for field trips, landscaping projects or one-time consumable products. Grant payments may be made only to the county Farm Bureau and not to individuals.
Application and Deadline
The official 2026 application must be completed and signed by the county contact and county Farm Bureau president. Applications must be postmarked by October 9, 2026, and funded projects are to be completed by December 31, 2027. Because the controlling requirement is a postal postmark date rather than an electronic clock-time cutoff, no deadline time zone applies. The application directs signed submissions to Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation, Attn: Scott Christmas, 9201 Bunsen Parkway, PO Box 20700, Louisville, KY 40250-0700. The program also lists womensprograms@kyfb.com as its contact email.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 42/100. This is a verified current Kentucky opportunity, but its $500 ceiling and county-Farm-Bureau-only eligibility make it a narrow, low-dollar pursuit. N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. QC Healthcare Fit Score: 0/100. The program is for agriculture-literacy education and provides no defensible clinical technology, telehealth, remote physical examination or healthcare procurement pathway.
