Broad Eligibility

The lead applicant must be an Iowa Authorized EMS Service. Projects must address both high-risk obstetric and neonatal transport readiness and comply with the controlling RFP, Iowa EMS requirements, rural service expectations, and CMS Rural Health Transformation cost restrictions.

Iowa HHS also confirms that grant funds may purchase telehealth equipment for transport use and pay for basic mounting or installation that does not renovate or structurally modify the vehicle.
