The energy-efficiency improvements generally must be identified in the required assessment or audit.

Cost share: 5% of the total award request for awards from $50,000 through $100,000 and for qualifying projects in environmental-justice areas of concern; 10% for awards from $100,000.01 through $200,000. Properties in an environmental-justice area of concern remain subject to the 5% match regardless of requested award size.

Required application components: Uniform State Grant Application, Programmatic Risk Assessment, Application Narrative and Implementation Timeline, Conflict of Interest Disclosure and NEPA Checklist, FFATA Data Collection Form, completed budget, and the required energy assessment or audit.
