Opportunity Overview
Georgia State University Sustainability Initiatives is accepting Fall 2026 proposals for the Campus Sustainability Grant Program. The program uses student sustainability fees to fund projects that advance sustainability at Georgia State through education, research, service, or campus operations.
Eligibility
Proposals may be submitted by any current Georgia State University student, faculty member, or staff member from any GSU campus. Applicants may apply individually or on behalf of a student club, registered student organization, or university department.
Projects must address at least one Georgia State strategic pillar and must also address either a United Nations Sustainable Development Goal or one of Drawdown Georgia’s high-impact climate solutions.
Funding
The current Fall 2026 program page does not publish a cycle-specific total funding amount or a per-project maximum. Historical awards shown by Georgia State vary substantially and are not treated as current award ceilings. Atlas will not infer a current maximum from prior awards.
Deadline and Submission
Applications opened September 21, 2026 and are due Friday, October 9, 2026. Awards are scheduled to be announced October 30, 2026. The current official page does not publish an exact closing clock time or deadline-specific time zone, so Atlas does not infer either.
Applicants use the application form and budget template linked from Georgia State’s official program page. Required submission materials listed by the university include the application form, budget template, budget detail, supporting documentation when applicable, an identified administrative purchaser, and a faculty/staff sponsor for student applications.
Match and Allowable Costs
The public program page does not state a mandatory match or cost-share requirement. It points applicants to the Campus Sustainability Grant Program Application Guide, Sustainability Fee Council Guidelines, Sustainability Fee Purchasing Guidelines, and Student Sustainability Fee Regulations for detailed application and purchasing controls. Applicant-specific cost allowability must therefore be checked against those controlling materials before package production.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 48/100. This is a legitimate, current Georgia university-administered funding opportunity, but the applicant universe is limited to the Georgia State community and the current public page does not establish a cycle-specific award ceiling or exact closing time.
N9+ Fit: 0/100. QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100. This is an internal campus sustainability program. Healthcare technology or clinical procurement should not be forced into the opportunity.
Verification hold: Atlas may continue source monitoring and applicant-specific qualification, but ORIGINAL outreach must fail closed unless a legitimate eligible applicant, verified business Contact, opt-out/bounce clearance, authoritative deduplication, and all other Georgia-lane controls are satisfied.
