Open 2027 Summer Program grants — applications opened November 2, 2026 and are due December 18, 2026 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties provides competitive, applicant-facing financial assistance for eligible nonprofit summer programming benefiting Palm Beach and/or Martin County residents. This is the one-step Summer Program Proposal track, distinct from the foundation’s year-round Letter of Inquiry track.

Individual applicant award limit: not published for 2027. The current announcement and official grantmaking process do not establish a 2027 summer-program minimum, maximum or mandatory percentage match. Older-cycle grant limits and aggregate awards must not be used as the applicant award. Award dates and payment particulars are subject to official grant agreements; the funder anticipates summer-program award communication in spring 2027 and distribution by late May.

Eligible applicants: qualifying tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofits in good standing with Florida, or organizations operating through a qualifying 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor. Proposed programming must directly serve residents in Palm Beach and/or Martin County. The foundation permits only one request per organization in the annual competitive cycle: applicants should select either Summer Program or year-round funding, not both. General operating grants are not available for applicants whose headquarters are outside these two counties.

Eligible work and restrictions: proposed summer youth education and mentoring, workforce and economic opportunity, health and mental wellness, arts, recreation, food security and other community-benefit services may qualify according to the foundation’s published focus areas and application-specific criteria. The competitive program excludes capital campaigns and capital projects, annual appeals, event underwriting, endowments, old debts and deficits, regranting, support to individuals, and other activities identified in the official FAQ. Some school-related applicants and repeating programs are restricted.

Single-stage submission: complete the Summer Program Proposal describing the specific service needs, approach, staffing, organizational and program budgets, measurable outcomes and schedule. Foundation staff review the full proposal directly and may conduct a virtual site visit; final awards require Community Impact Committee and board approval. The official process page currently contains an outdated summer award-year reference in narrative text; use current grant portal notices and 2027 dated application materials as the controlling implementation schedule.

Official funder sources reviewed October 26, 2026: Current competitive grant process, 2027 cycle announcement and Foundation eligibility and exclusions FAQ. The application portal opens November 2, 2026. Deadline: December 18, 2026 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
