Atlas Analysis

Applicant opportunity fit 62/100. The program is relevant to correctional settings, sexual-assault response teams, evidence collection and justice-health partnerships, but its core purpose is investigative and prosecutorial capacity rather than clinical service delivery. N9+ fit 10/100. Do not position a remote physical examination platform unless a specific applicant demonstrates an allowable and necessary clinical role tied directly to the funded response workflow.

The U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Justice Assistance is accepting applications for the FY 2026 Investigating and Prosecuting Sexual Assaults in Confinement Facilities Program. The program supports state, local and Tribal efforts to improve investigation and prosecution of sexual assault in confinement facilities.

Permissible uses include evidence collection and retention, victim and witness interviewing, coordinated sexual assault response teams, training for law enforcement and prosecutors, and investigation-support resources. Atlas should treat healthcare and forensic-clinical organizations as potential project partners only when the applicant documents a legitimate role within the funded investigative or coordinated-response model. The Nonagon N9+ should not be positioned by default because the NOFO does not expressly identify telehealth or remote examination as a funded objective.
