Opportunity Overview
The Arkansas Securities Department is accepting 2026-2027 Investor Education Grant Program applications for Arkansas projects that provide securities and investment education to teachers and students. The program is administered by the Arkansas Securities Commissioner.
Funding and Deadline
Status: Open. Applications are due September 30, 2026. The current Arkansas Securities Department grant page does not publish a closing clock time or time zone. Applicants should submit early or confirm timing directly with the Department.
The Department does not publish a per-applicant award ceiling on the current grant page. For context only, it reports that 54 schools and seven nonprofit organizations received nearly $250,000 in total for the 2025-2026 school year. Awards are determined based on program merit, other school resources, and the number of students educated.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Arkansas public schools and nonprofit organizations recognized as tax-exempt under IRC Section 501(c)(3) that provide both financial literacy and investment education to Arkansas students in grades 5 through 12.
Eligible Uses and Requirements
Grant funds may support appropriate educational resources, software materials, or equipment for the qualifying investor-education project. Applicants must submit the current Grant Application Form and a current-calendar-year W-9 through the Department’s online application. Nonprofit applicants should provide their IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter. The application also requires a project description, measurable outcomes, other school resources dedicated to the project, and an itemized project budget with cost estimates.
Projects must be completed by March 31, 2027. A final report is due April 30, 2027 and must include measurable outcomes, financial accounting, and receipts or invoices. The Department also states that grant funds may not be used to teach, advocate, or promote a divisive concept as defined by Arkansas law.
Match and Cost Share
No universal mandatory matching-fund or cost-share requirement is stated on the current authoritative grant page. Applicants should not infer that other school resources are a formal match requirement; the Department separately asks applicants to describe other school resources dedicated to the project.
Atlas Fit Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 58/100. This is a legitimate Arkansas school and nonprofit education grant, but it is narrowly limited to financial literacy and securities/investment education.
N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. No legitimate role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform or QC Healthcare is established by the controlling program scope. Atlas should not force a healthcare technology fit into this opportunity.
Submission and Contact
Applications are submitted through the Arkansas Securities Department online grant application. The Department identifies James Rouse, (501) 324-8692, as the grant-program contact for inquiries.
