Who may apply: A community agency must apply on behalf of a Trust beneficiary and administer the award. Eligible agencies include foundations, Tribal entities, nonprofits, corporations, and qualifying sole proprietorships. Government entities may apply but should confirm internal ability to accept and spend the funds. Individuals and families cannot apply directly.
Important restrictions: An applying community agency may not request funds to pay for items or services provided by that same agency. Requested items and services must not be available through another funding source. Vendor cost estimates and category-specific documentation may be required. Protected health information is not requested and should not be submitted.
Atlas assessment: Strong Alaska beneficiary-support relevance, but low per-beneficiary award size and beneficiary-specific need make broad cold outreach inappropriate. N9+ fit is low and conditional; do not force a device pathway. Applicant-specific assistance is appropriate only when a qualifying agency already serves an eligible beneficiary and the requested item or service is allowable.
