Funding: RCUH estimates $144,000 in total available funds for 120 DSP and Service Supervisor candidates statewide. Each agency may propose up to six Direct Support Professional candidates and two Service Supervisor candidates. The RFA provides up to $500 in initial agency implementation funds, $300 in learner milestone funds, and $400 in final agency implementation funds per eligible learner. For the maximum eight candidates, the maximum theoretical agency-level amount is $9,600 if all eight remain eligible through the applicable milestones.
Eligible applicants: DDD-contracted I/DD Medicaid 1915(c) waiver providers in Good Standing that provide one or more qualifying waiver services, have no current adverse action imposed by DHS or DDD, have a FEIN, are registered with Hawaii Compliance Express, are currently open and operating in-person I/DD services in Hawaiʻi, and can meet the program and candidate commitments in the RFA.
Required application package: WDTP Application Form (Attachment A), signed Acknowledgement of Terms of Program/Certification (Attachment B), and a completed W-9. Applications are submitted by email to Marlene Murray at the address specified in the RFA. Late submissions are not accepted.
