Opportunity Summary
AgriBank, in partnership with AgCountry Farm Credit Services and Farm Credit Services of Mandan, operates the Rural Community Grant Fund for local communities in western North Dakota impacted by mineral development in the Bakken region. Grants of up to $50,000 support infrastructure and development initiatives, including health and safety programs, medical facilities, educational programs, housing, and other community needs.
Eligibility
Projects must serve the western portion of North Dakota. Organizations recognized as 501(c)(3) entities receive preference. Governmental authorities below the federal, state, or county level may also be considered, and other organizations may apply. Requests for the personal benefit of an individual are ineligible. Religious organizations may not request support for a religious purpose but may apply for qualifying community medical or housing projects.

Its May 2026 awards included $50,000 for medical equipment and training at Connect Medical Clinic, $40,000 for an equipment upgrade at Jacobson Memorial Hospital Care Center, $38,100 for medical equipment at Simulation in Motion North Dakota, $25,000 for a Trinity Health Foundation facility expansion, and $18,200 for a St. Luke’s Hospital facility upgrade.
