The Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation Targeted Grants Program is accepting 2026 applications from eligible nonprofit organizations serving Strafford County, New Hampshire, for projects that increase access to mental health, behavioral health, substance use disorder services, early education or child care, and food security.
Funding
Applicants may request up to $25,000 for one-year, nonrenewable project support.
Deadline
Applications are due September 30, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The GrantSource application portal opened September 9, 2026.
Eligibility and Priorities
Funding is limited to organizations providing services in Strafford County. An organization headquartered elsewhere may apply when Strafford County is a primary service location. Applicants must be recognized as tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), or apply through an eligible public-charity fiscal sponsor.
Priority is given to collaborative projects addressing mental health, behavioral health, substance use disorder services, early education or child care, and food security. Public and private schools, hospitals, colleges and universities, religious organizations, municipalities, and government entities are instructed not to apply.
Eligible organizations may submit only one 2026 Greater Rochester Community Health Foundation application, choosing either the Targeted Grants Program or the Small Grants Program.
Application Process
Applicants use the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation’s GrantSource portal. Final decisions are expected by email in December 2026.
