Opportunity Overview
The 2026 GSK IMPACT Awards for Greater Philadelphia are in the final invited-application stage. Philadelphia Foundation and GSK will award up to 10 eligible nonprofits $50,000 each in unrestricted funding for demonstrated excellence and measurable impact on community health.
This is not open to new registrants. The registration stage closed July 24, 2026. Only organizations whose registrations were approved and that received an invitation can submit the final application.
Deadline and Geography
Invited applications are due September 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM. Eligible work must make community-health impact in Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Montgomery or Philadelphia counties.
Finalists are expected to be selected in October 2026, site visits are planned for November 2026, winners are selected in January 2027, and the public announcement is planned for May 2027.
Community Health Focus
The awards recognize strong existing programs addressing one or more community health factors, including health promotion and harm reduction, housing and transportation, air/water/land, climate, civic and community resources, education, income/employment/wealth, and safety and social support. The program evaluates organizations for innovation, measurement, partnerships, accountability, community-centered practice and transformative impact.
Critical Eligibility Limits
Applicants must be independent 501(c)(3) nonprofits and meet the program’s revenue requirements: at least $100,000 in annual gross revenue for both 2025 and 2026, but no more than $5 million in either year. The GSK award also cannot exceed 50% of the organization’s annual operating expenses.
Healthcare-delivery organizations are generally not eligible. The current guidance excludes GSK customers and customer affiliates such as academic medical centers, clinics, home-health or visiting-nurse agencies, medical treatment centers, hospices, hospitals, payers and wholesalers. It further states that organizations engaged in delivering healthcare or facilitating access to healthcare are likely ineligible, and organizations cannot employ healthcare professionals covered by the program FAQ.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 82/100 for already-invited applicants; 0/100 for new applicants. The unrestricted $50,000 award is useful for qualifying community organizations with strong health-determinant programs, but the registration gate has already closed and the program is deliberately not intended for hospitals, clinics or other healthcare-delivery organizations.
N9+ Direct Vendor Fit: 0/100. This is unrestricted organizational support for eligible community nonprofits and the program excludes many direct healthcare-provider applicants. QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100.
Next Action
If your organization was approved during the July registration stage, complete the invited application and submit it before September 8, 2026 at 11:59 PM. New organizations should not spend time trying to enter this cycle because registration is already closed.
