Polk County Cultural Coalition (Oregon) — 2027 Cultural Grant Cycle
The Polk County Cultural Coalition (PCCC), funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust, is accepting applications for its 2027 primary cultural-grants cycle. The current 2026–27 guidelines and form were made available in November 2026. The December 31, 2026 deadline is a receipt deadline; neither the Coalition’s webpage nor its application specifies a closing time or time zone. Selected grants will be disbursed beginning February 2027 for projects occurring March 1 through December 31, 2027.
Applicant funding and matching resources
$500–$3,000 per selected project, competitive; not all eligible applications will be funded. The Coalition requests applicants to disclose matching resources in cash or in kind and to specify the amount of match on the cover sheet; the current guidelines do not publish a mandatory match percentage. The Oregon Cultural Trust’s reported FY2027 total allocation is not an individual applicant award.
Eligible applicants and projects
Projects must involve residents of Polk County, Oregon, and address at least one PCCC priority: protecting existing cultural assets, engaging young people in cultural venues, or removing barriers to arts, heritage, and humanities participation. Applicants must be qualified IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or have an IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) fiscal agent willing to administer the grant. Individuals, schools and city agencies may apply only through an eligible 501(c)(3) fiscal agent. Collaboration is encouraged. Grant-funded work should not begin before award money is received and must be completed within one year.
Required application and submission
Use the official 2027 application and guidelines (four-page PDF). Submit the completed signed cover sheet, the fiscal-agent information and signatures if needed, proof of the applicant or fiscal agent’s current IRS 501(c)(3) determination or affiliation, and a maximum three-page, double-spaced narrative in 12-point type. The narrative must describe the project and timeline, intended audience, cultural-priority alignment, objectives, measures of success, detailed project budget and contributions from other funding sources. Supplemental documentation is optional. Email materials to Polkcountycc@gmail.com so they are received by December 31, 2026. The Coalition does not specify a particular closing hour.
Restrictions and post-award conditions
The Coalition’s board reviews applications beginning January 15, 2027, and disburses awards in February. Projects must align with the three stated cultural priorities, affect Polk County residents, and fit the project period. A final report, including project outcomes, expenditures, participant estimates and signatures, is required within 30 days after completion. The application states on page 2 that failure to submit the required report prevents future awards. Page 4 contains a contradictory sentence concerning timely reporting; applicants should obtain clarification directly from the Coalition rather than relying on that sentence to interpret eligibility.
