Atlas Analysis
Verified October 27, 2026 against The Pollination Project official 2026 application guidelines and the funder-operated SurveyMonkey Apply portal, which identifies the Daily Grants Program as an open call for $500 seed grants. This is applicant-facing charitable project funding, not procurement or an aggregate funding allocation. Applications are rolling with monthly review and a brief year-end closure, not a fixed public deadline. Excludes grant recipient personal compensation, proselytizing, political campaigns, animal agriculture promotion, restricted animal products, prohibited synthetic materials and pass-through donations. Recipients submit expenditure records and project reporting. No universal cash match or reimbursement mechanism was published.
Daily Seed Grants applications are currently accepted on a rolling basis, with monthly review and a brief year-end closure. The Pollination Project provides $500 grants to eligible volunteer-led charitable community projects anywhere in the world. The program supports grassroots projects with demonstrable community benefit, including education, inclusion, public well-being, environmental stewardship and other compassionate social-change activities.
Who can apply: Individuals, informally organized groups, and registered early-stage nonprofit organizations anywhere in the world can apply, provided the project has already begun some substantive work or planning, is volunteer-led without paid staff, has a total project budget under $10,000, and has an organizational budget under $50,000. Previous Pollination Project seed grantees and groups already benefiting from a seed grant cannot receive an additional seed grant for another project.
Significant restrictions: Projects must be non-discriminatory, non-proselytizing and charitable rather than for private gain. Grants cannot fund political campaigns, payments to grantees or family members, pass-through donations, projects promoting animal agriculture, animal products at events, or certain other prohibited materials and activities listed in the official guidelines. Some food-distribution infrastructure costs may be eligible even when donated food contains animal products, but grant funds cannot buy the animal products.
Application requirements: Submit the English-language application through the Pollination Project SurveyMonkey Apply portal with the project plan, realistic budget, expected impact and a referee who knows the work; applicants outside the United States must supply referee contact details. Funds must be receivable in U.S. dollars by bank wire or PayPal. Applications completed by the end of a month are normally considered the next month, with decisions typically communicated within 6 to 12 weeks. Grant recipients must report outcomes, provide spending receipts and photos or video as described in the award terms. No fixed closing date is published for the current open rolling period.
