Open 2027 competition: The Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties offers competitive Community Impact grants for qualifying nonprofits serving Palm Beach and Martin County residents. The year-round funding route opens for Letters of Inquiry (LOIs) November 2, 2026, and closes December 18, 2026 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. This is applicant-facing charitable financial assistance, not procurement.
Individual award minimum and maximum: not published for the 2027 cycle. The official current 2027 announcement and process do not state a universal applicant award ceiling, universal matching rate, or individual payment structure. Prior-cycle award amounts and the foundation’s aggregate 2026 grantmaking are not individual 2027 awards.
Eligibility: IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofits in good standing with Florida, or nonprofits using qualifying 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsors, with programming directly benefiting Palm Beach and/or Martin County residents. One submission per organization per annual competition; applicants must choose the year-round or summer route. The foundation does not provide general operating support to organizations headquartered outside Palm Beach and Martin Counties, even if their projects serve local residents.
2027 priorities: economic opportunity and workforce development; education and youth; thriving communities (including health, mental health, housing, food security, arts and environmental needs); and nonprofit capacity building. General program and operating support may qualify under funder rules. The grant FAQs exclude annual appeals, capital campaigns or projects, event underwriting, endowments, debts and deficits, regranting, individual awards, certain schools, discriminatory or religious-recruitment activities, and unrelated services. Programs funded for three consecutive years may face a cooling-off restriction.
Year-round process: Submit an LOI describing the community challenge and proposed work through the grant interface. Invited applicants complete a full proposal explaining implementation, staffing, budget, outcomes and sustainability; site visits and committee/board review follow. Funding decisions are expected around May 2027 and distribution in June/July. The funder’s current webpage conflicts between March 2 and March 3, 2027 for the invited full-proposal deadline; the applicant must confirm the actual date in the invitation and live grant portal.
