The National Council on Aging (NCOA), with support from the Mother Cabrini Foundation, is inviting qualifying community-based organizations serving older adults in rural New York State to implement the Get Empowered: Embrace Your Mental Well-Being program.

Support available

Selected organizations receive a $5,000 honorarium, facilitator materials, training and technical support. This is a structured program-participation funding opportunity, not an unrestricted capital or operating grant.

Applicants must serve older adults aged 55 or older in rural New York State, wish to develop or strengthen behavioral-health programming, and be able to host the workshops. NCOA requires two staff facilitators and participation in implementation and evaluation activities.

Key commitments

NCOA publishes the detailed application questions on its official page.

Deadline and application

October 18, 2026, 11:59 p.m. EST (time-zone abbreviation as printed by NCOA). Apply through the linked submission portal; first-time users must register. The funder did not describe an additional match requirement or a conventional individual project-grant budget in the public instructions.
