Broad Eligibility

South Carolina for profit businesses that are active SCRA Member Companies, have their principal place of business in South Carolina or at least 51% of full time equivalent employees in the state, and hold a qualifying federal award with initial project data.

Eligible Purpose

Funding must advance technology commercialization and follow on funding readiness. SCRA identifies activities such as viable product development, regulatory pathway work, market validation, testing, demonstrations, and commercialization planning as examples of relevant milestones. Certain costs, including debt repayment, rent, licensing fees, legal fees, reimbursement of past expenses, and salaries, are excluded.
