Massachusetts Boston Foundation Latino Equity Fund FY27 Grants

The Latino Equity Fund (LEF) at the Boston Foundation is accepting FY27 applications from qualifying local Latinx-serving nonprofit organizations across Greater Boston. The cycle prioritizes trusted community health care access and equitable economic opportunity, making it particularly relevant to community-based organizations working on health access, insurance navigation, vaccination, primary care access, ESOL, credentialing, and entrepreneurship.

Key facts

  • Issuer: Latino Equity Fund at the Boston Foundation.
  • Total funding: $500,000.
  • Awards: 10 one-time general operating grants of $50,000 each.
  • Application opened: September 15, 2026.
  • Deadline: October 30, 2026 at 5:00 PM ET.

Eligibility

Applicants must be qualifying local 501(c)(3) organizations serving Latinx communities in the Boston Foundation catchment area. The FY27 FAQ specifies that a Latinx-serving organization must have at least 50% of clients served identifying as Latinx. Applicants must have a current-fiscal-year organizational budget below $5 million, be headquartered in Essex, Middlesex, Norfolk, Plymouth, or Suffolk County, provide the majority of services within that catchment area, and not maintain offices or provide services outside Massachusetts. Regional, national, and international organizations are not eligible, and a local affiliate of a larger organization must have its own EIN.

Priority consideration is given to organizations located in Boston, Brockton, Chelsea, Framingham, Haverhill, Lawrence, Lowell, Lynn, Methuen, Revere, Saugus, Salem, and Waltham. FY26 Latino Equity Fund grant recipients are not eligible for this FY27 cycle.

Priority uses

Trusted Community Health Care Access may include free mobile clinics, free primary care, vaccination drives, health insurance support, and medical-bill negotiation.

Equitable Economic Opportunities may include ESOL, professional credentialing, college readiness, apprenticeships and trades, credential verification, HiSET support, career development, work-authorization renewal assistance, and culturally competent entrepreneurial support.

The governing RFP excludes or generally does not consider requests for research, medical research, endowments, private foundations, religious or sectarian activities, political or lobbying work, major capital campaigns, large endowed institutions, organizations with budgets above $5 million, non-501(c)(3) entities, and national or regional organizations without an independent local EIN. Atlas assessment

Atlas Opportunity Score: 95/100. This is a current Massachusetts community-funding opportunity with a clearly verified award amount, precise deadline and time zone, local eligibility rules, and direct relevance to community health access and economic opportunity.

N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. QC Healthcare Fit: 5/100. Dr. Miltie direct-applicant fit: 0/100. The award is general operating support for eligible local Latinx-serving nonprofit organizations. The governing materials do not establish a defensible N9+ equipment or procurement use case, and Dr. Miltie is not established as an eligible nonprofit applicant under the program rules.

Original outreach control

Publication does not authorize outreach to any particular organization. Before ORIGINAL outreach, Atlas must separately verify the prospective applicant’s current 501(c)(3) status, current-fiscal-year budget below $5 million, geographic and local-only operating eligibility, at least 50% Latinx clients served, FY26 LEF non-recipient status, a verified business contact and email, Email Opt-Out and permanent-bounce status, and authoritative CRM and Atlas_Email_Queue send-history deduplication.
