Required next actionPrioritize eligible Cedar County nonprofits, governmental agencies, EMS, public-health and community-service organizations with a credible project and privately raised 1:1 match. Before ORIGINAL outreach, verify organization and project eligibility, specific cost and equipment allowability, procurement requirements, authoritative business Contact, Email_Opt_Out, permanent-bounce status, and authoritative original-send history.

Broad Eligibility

Nonprofit organizations, preferably with 501(c)(3) status, and qualified governmental agencies may apply for charitable Cedar County projects, subject to the Foundation’s nondiscrimination policy, one-project-per-cycle rule, prior-report requirement and stated exclusions.

Atlas Analysis

Strong local opportunity with current open status, a $7,500 ceiling, required 1:1 privately raised match, and extensive prior health, EMS and public-safety award precedent. N9+ is a conditional project-specific fit only; current-cycle allowability, procurement, budget, match and applicant need must be independently verified before any product inclusion.

The Community Foundation of Cedar County 2026 Fall Matching Grant supports charitable projects and programs that improve quality of life in Cedar County, Iowa. The Community Foundation of Cedar County is an affiliate of the Quad Cities Community Foundation.

Funding and Deadline

The 2026 Fall Matching Grant offers awards of up to $7,500. The fall cycle opened September 1, 2026 and applications are due October 10, 2026. The current official grant page does not state a closing clock time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one. Award notification is scheduled for November 21, 2026.

Eligible Applicants

The Foundation makes grants to nonprofit organizations, preferably organizations with 501(c)(3) status, and qualified governmental agencies. Applicants must comply with the Quad Cities Community Foundation diversity and nondiscrimination policy. The Foundation does not fund annual fundraising, organizational endowments, deficit financing, grants to individuals, or sectarian purposes. Only one project per organization, or another organization where the project benefits a common project or entity, will be considered in a grant cycle. A prior Foundation final report affecting the applicant or common project must be accepted before a new application is submitted.

Required Dollar-for-Dollar Match

The fall cycle requires proof of a dollar-for-dollar match. Matching dollars must come from the organization’s fundraising or private solicitation efforts. Funds from normal operating budgets or other grants do not count toward the required match, and in-kind contributions do not count as match dollars. Proof of matching funds is due no later than December 31, 2026. The project completion deadline is December 31, 2027.

Submission Method

Applications are submitted through the Foundation’s electronic grant system, and the Foundation states that only online submissions will be accepted.

Healthcare, Public Health and EMS Relevance

The Foundation’s published grant history demonstrates strong local precedent for health, safety and emergency-response projects. Recent awards include an ambulance stair chair, portable and vehicle-mounted suction equipment, EMS radios and pagers, defibrillator and AED projects, Stop the Bleed supplies, a ZOLL ambulance monitor, CPR equipment, patient-lifting devices, mental-health services and related emergency-service equipment. This history supports credible Cedar County healthcare, public-health and EMS project fit, but it does not automatically establish allowability for any particular product, technology, quantity or vendor in the 2026 fall cycle.

Atlas Analysis

Atlas Opportunity Score: 87/100. The program is locally targeted, currently open, has a clear award ceiling and eligibility structure, and shows meaningful health and EMS grant precedent. The required one-to-one privately raised match and $7,500 award cap narrow project design and applicant readiness.

N9+ fit is conditional. A Cedar County healthcare, public-health or EMS applicant could consider connected examination technology only if the organization independently establishes a legitimate project need, current-cycle cost allowability, procurement compliance, match funding, budget fit and a credible implementation plan. Ordinary initial outreach should introduce the grant and Atlas grant-package assistance only, without selling N9+.
