Opportunity Overview
The Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley VF Math Academy Fund provides a 2026 classroom mini-grant to support math learning in K-12 schools in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties, Ohio.
Funding and Deadline
One classroom mini-grant of $650 will be awarded for the 2026 cycle. Applicants are instructed to request the full $650 amount. Applications are due September 30, 2026. The official guidance says to submit by end of day but does not publish a clock time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are math teachers at K-12 schools in Columbiana, Mahoning and Trumbull Counties. Teachers must apply under the name of their school district, use the district EIN, and obtain permission from the Superintendent, Treasurer or another authorized district administrator before applying. If awarded, funds are paid to the district rather than the individual teacher.
Application
Applications are submitted through the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley grant portal. Applicants create or use a portal account, select the VF Math Academy Fund 2026 Classroom Mini-Grant Application, complete the application and submit it by the deadline. Award notification is expected in late October.
Atlas Fit Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 61/100. This is a verified school and education opportunity with a clear Ohio geographic scope and simple district-based eligibility, but the award is very small.
N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. The program is specifically for classroom math learning and does not present a defensible clinical-device or healthcare procurement pathway.
