Open Nevada opportunity. The Del E. Webb Foundation accepts grant requests from qualifying nonprofit public charities with a working office in Nevada, Arizona, or California that serve their local communities. The Foundation’s mission is to support positive, transformative community improvements, and its stated vision emphasizes innovative, results-based projects with long-term impact on healthcare, youth, and society.
Current cycle: the next full application deadline is December 8, 2026 at noon Arizona time, for review at the January 19, 2027 board meeting. A Letter of Intent must be approved before a full application may be submitted. The Foundation states that the LOI must be submitted at least three weeks before the application deadline, making November 17, 2026 the latest calendar date for an LOI intended for this cycle. The Foundation does not publish a separate LOI clock time.
Funding: the Foundation does not publish a standard grant amount or general maximum. It asks applicants to contact the Foundation before submitting a request of $1,000,000 or more. LOIs must state the amount requested, rounded to the nearest $1,000.
Eligibility: applicants must be federally tax-exempt under Section 501(c)(3), maintain a working office in Nevada, Arizona, or California, and have a mission consistent with the Foundation’s focus on productive, long-term community benefit. At least one year must have passed since the Foundation’s last payment to the organization or since a prior LOI or application was declined. The Foundation funds nonprofit organizations that provide services in their local communities and gives priority to projects and programs that progress toward self-sufficiency.
Published exclusions: the Foundation does not fund political, sports, or religious activities; galas, fun-runs, or other fundraising activities; scholarships; individuals; fiscal sponsors; 509(a)(3) supporting organizations; government agencies; or organizations that make grants to others. The Foundation also states that a request will be declined if another division using the same EIN has a pending request, if grant funds would be used for a purpose other than the approved application, or if an organizational member and Foundation board member share a financial interest.
Letter of Intent requirements: submit one PDF containing a one-page LOI on organizational letterhead, the IRS determination letter, the Foundation’s Contact Information Form, and the Foundation’s Grant Questionnaire. Requests involving repairs must also include photos of the areas to be repaired. The PDF is submitted by email to Grants@DEWF.org with DEWF in the subject line. The Foundation states that LOIs are generally answered within a few business days.
Full application requirements: only organizations with an approved LOI advance to the full application. A complete submission consists of three PDF files covering the application, financials, and most recent Form 990. Required application materials include mission, organizational history and current activities, project need and detailed project description, officers and directors/trustees, CEO authorization, project budget, the amount to be funded by the grant, other committed or solicited funding, project schedule, and the application checklist. Current-year interim financial statements must be less than two months old and signed by an officer; prior-year financial statements and an audit or signed internal statements are also required as specified by the Foundation.
Equipment pathway: the Foundation expressly requires an equipment list with description, supplier, and cost when a request is primarily for equipment. That makes healthcare equipment and technology projects a legitimate pathway when the underlying project, organization, community benefit, and budget independently satisfy Foundation requirements. Atlas will not assume that a specific device or platform is eligible without applicant-specific project verification.
Match and cost share: the current public guidance does not state a mandatory match or cost-share percentage. The full application does require disclosure of the sources and amounts of all other funds committed to or solicited for the project.
Atlas analysis: this is a strong Nevada healthcare and nonprofit-capacity opportunity because the Foundation explicitly serves Nevada, identifies healthcare as a core impact area, and provides a documented equipment pathway. Organization-level history, the one-year prior-payment/decline rule, nonprofit classification, actual project need, and the LOI-first process must be verified before applicant outreach or package production.
