Opportunity Overview
The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Breast and Cervical Cancer Control Navigation Program (BC3NP) is accepting applications for its Colposcopy Training Program for Providers. The program is intended to increase Michigan provider capacity to perform colposcopies for BC3NP clients with abnormal Pap/HPV results.
Verified Deadline and Funding
The official MDHHS page states that applications are due October 31, 2026. MDHHS does not publish a closing clock time or time zone on the public program page. Total funding and the number of funded applicants are not fixed publicly and are subject to availability of funds.
Verified Applicant Requirements
Applicants must be masters-prepared Nurse Midwives, Nurse Practitioners, or Physician Assistants with an unrestricted Michigan license and at least three years of experience in women’s health, obstetrics, labor and delivery, or midwifery. They must currently work at a Primary Care Clinic, Federally Qualified Health Center, or Local Health Department serving low-income and Medicaid clients. The clinic must refer at least two clients per month for colposcopies. Applicants must have access to colposcopy equipment, identify a preceptor for in-person training, agree to remain at their current employment for at least one year after training, and have clinic leadership support. The clinic must also agree to accept BC3NP colposcopy referrals.
Training Support
MDHHS states that selected participants receive support for an online colposcopy training program through the American Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology and in-person training with a colposcopy provider. Public MDHHS materials also describe travel reimbursement for approved training and up to three days of hands-on clinical preceptorship support.
Verification Hold
Status: Draft / Verification Hold. The full 2026 application is provided by request from the BC3NP Nurse Consultant and is not publicly exposed on the controlling webpage. Atlas therefore has not yet verified the complete application questions, required attachments, certifications, reimbursement ceilings, match or cost-share treatment, submission method, interview requirements beyond the public summary, or any applicant-controlled commitments. Those items must be reviewed from the current official application before publication, formal scoring, applicant-specific CRM work, package production, or outreach.
