Atlas Analysis

This requirement supports National ALS Registry participation through sustained outreach, enrollment assistance, education, awareness, digital engagement, and multi-state services. Continuity and established national ALS reach are central to the intended-source rationale.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, is seeking continued outreach, education, awareness, and enrollment support for the National ALS Registry. The current response deadline is September 17, 2026 at 11:00 AM Eastern Time.

The requirement includes sustained outreach to people living with ALS and their families, assistance with Registry enrollment and computer access, educational materials, social-media engagement, and directed services across multiple states. CDC identifies The ALS Association as the intended sole-source provider because of its established national reach, ALS-specific infrastructure, and ability to provide continuity for Registry outreach and enrollment activities.

Other responsible sources should review the current SAM.gov notice and submit any permitted timely response only if they can demonstrate comparable national ALS outreach, enrollment, education, and multi-state service capability.
