Atlas Analysis

RFA-DE-27-001 is active and supports one CEED Hub for the ADAPT oral-health consortium. The deadline is October 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM local time.

Funding Opportunity Number: RFA-DE-27-001

Issuing agency: National Institutes of Health, National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), with NIH Office of AIDS Research participation.

Application deadline: October 19, 2026 at 5:00 PM local time of the applicant organization.

Funding: NIDCR intends to commit approximately $1,000,000 in FY2027 to fund one award. Application budgets are not limited but must reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. The maximum project period is five years. Cost sharing is not required.

Purpose: The Community Engagement Evaluation and Data Coordination (CEED) Hub will support the ADAPT consortium through three required domains: data planning, consultation, technical assistance for research methodology and analytics; community engagement evaluation; and consortium infrastructure and operational support. Applications that omit any required domain or propose a clinical trial are nonresponsive.

Eligibility: Eligible domestic applicants include public and private institutions of higher education, nonprofit organizations, small businesses and other for-profit organizations, state and local governments, Tribal governments and organizations, independent school districts, public and Indian housing authorities, eligible federal agencies, faith-based and community-based organizations, and regional organizations. Foreign organizations and foreign components are not eligible, and foreign subawards are not allowed.

Submission: Applications may be submitted through NIH ASSIST, an institutional system-to-system solution, or Grants.gov Workspace and are tracked through eRA Commons. Required registrations include SAM.gov/UEI, Grants.gov, and eRA Commons. A Data Management and Sharing Plan is required when the proposed work will generate scientific data.

Atlas assessment: Strong oral-health, public-health, research-data, and community-engagement alignment. A competitive lead applicant requires established NIH-grade consortium coordination, community-engagement evaluation, governance, large health-data analytics, data harmonization, and technical capacity including Terra and common analytic environments such as Python or R. Structural eligibility for a domestic for-profit organization does not by itself establish direct-prime readiness. Recommended posture: Partner-Led / Oral Health Data and Community Engagement Coordination Hub.

Atlas score: 93/100.
