Opportunity Overview
Verified open West Virginia public-school education funding opportunity. The Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF) GrantED Mini-Grant Program supports specific PK-12 learning experiences and projects that enhance teaching and learning at the classroom or grade level.
Funding and Timing
The maximum request amount is $3,000. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis from September 1, 2026 through June 1, 2027, or until all available annual funds have been committed. PACF states applications are reviewed monthly and applicants should apply at least eight weeks before funds are needed. The controlling public page does not publish a fixed closing clock time or time zone.
West Virginia Eligibility
GrantED is limited to the public school system. In West Virginia, eligible projects may support PK-12 learning experiences at public schools in Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Jackson, Mason, Pleasants, Ritchie, Roane, Wirt, and Wood counties. Eligible applicants include teachers, librarians, nurses, counselors, and other school professionals. Each staff member is limited to one application per year, while there is no school-wide cap on the number of applications.
Eligible and Ineligible Costs
GrantED may support project-specific materials and equipment that advance the proposed learning experience. General supplies, professional development, and food costs are not allowable. Awarded funds are paid to the school, and materials and equipment purchased with grant funds become school property. The principal or appropriate administrator must support the application and agree to administer awarded funds.
Submission Method
Applications must be submitted through PACF’s online application process; emailed proposals are not accepted. First-time applicants must contact PACF to establish a grant-portal account and connect it to the applicant’s school.
