Opportunity Summary
The Kohala Coast Community Fund (KCCF) accepts grant applications on a rolling basis from organizations serving Hawaiʻi Island residents through workforce development, education, and career pathways. Organizations working under a formal fiscal sponsor may also apply. KCCF states that churches and schools may be considered when grant funds are used for the proposed program.
Funding and Deadline
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. KCCF does not publish a fixed closing date, closing time, time zone, or a maximum grant amount in its current public grant guidelines. Applicants should request only the amount justified by the proposed 12-month project and should confirm current availability directly through the live application process before submission.
Required Application Documentation
KCCF’s current public guidelines require:
- IRS 501(c)(3) determination letter
- DCCA Certificate of Good Standing
- Most recent completed-fiscal-year Form 990, 990-EZ, 990-N, or applicable filing
- Financial statement for the most recently completed fiscal year

Grant Terms and Restrictions
KCCF accepts proposals for 12-month projects and does not commit to multi-year grants. Grantees must use funds for the approved project, obtain approval for material changes, participate in KCCF mentorship, provide a six-month progress report and a final report one month after the grant period, provide requested marketing materials, and participate in annual KCCF fundraising events. KCCF does not fund campaigns, capital improvement projects, fundraisers, or administrative fees for church or school proposals. Organizations that completed prior grant obligations may generally apply once annually.
The current published guidelines do not state a mandatory applicant match or cost-share requirement.
