The Cleveland Foundation Standard Grant Application remains open year-round. The current review-cycle deadline is December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST. Applications received after a listed deadline are considered in the next application cycle.
Eligibility
The Cleveland Foundation states that standard grants are available to tax-exempt agencies classified as IRS 501(c)(3) public charities serving Cuyahoga, Lake, and/or Geauga counties. The Foundation also states that some grants are made to government agencies and churches. Organizations without their own 501(c)(3) status may apply through an eligible fiscal sponsor; the fiscal sponsor must apply on the organization’s behalf and a signed Fiscal Sponsorship Form is required.
Funding
The Foundation does not publish a fixed minimum or maximum Standard Grant request amount. Its current guidance says grant awards vary widely and organizations should request the amount actually needed to successfully complete the proposed project. No mandatory match or cost-share requirement is stated in the current published Standard Grant guidance.
Application and required materials
Applications are submitted online through the Cleveland Foundation Grants Gateway. The Standard Grant Application includes contact information, a project summary, a project budget, and demographics. The current user guide identifies the following required uploads:
- Board List with Affiliations
- Organization Chart
- Organization Budget
- Audit or Financial Statement
- Fiscal Sponsor Agreement when applicable
One additional optional attachment may also be provided. New organizations must register in the Grants Gateway and connect to an organization profile before applying; the Foundation recommends completing registration at least two weeks before a deadline.
Deadline and process
The current Standard Grant review deadline is December 31, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EST. The Foundation’s published deadline chart also lists December 31, March 31, and June 30 review deadlines, and expressly states that the application remains open year-round.
Atlas assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 84/100. The year-round Standard Grant pathway is potentially relevant to qualifying Greater Cleveland nonprofit and public-sector healthcare or education projects because the program is broadly available to eligible charitable organizations and government agencies.
N9+ Fit Score: 45/100, conditional applicant-led only. The Standard Grant materials do not expressly identify telehealth, remote examination, medical devices, equipment, or the Nonagon N9+ device and platform as a priority or specifically allowable expense. Atlas should not force fit. A technology role should be considered only when an eligible organization has a genuine qualifying project and the project-specific cost treatment is confirmed.
Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare direct-applicant fit: 0/100 under the published eligibility structure. This is a charitable/public applicant program rather than a commercial vendor procurement.
