Opportunity Overview
The Community Foundation of Lincoln County (CFLC) 2026 Grant Cycle supports specific projects benefiting residents of Lincoln County and surrounding New Mexico communities. The Foundation’s 2026-specific guidelines identify eligible project categories including health, education, welfare, humanities, and conservation.
Current 2026 Deadline
The controlling 2026 Grant Guidelines and 2026 Grant Application Cover Sheet both state a submission deadline of November 1, 2026. The guidelines say mailed packages must be postmarked November 1, 2026 or earlier and also permit submission by email to cflcnm@gmail.com. No exact closing time or time zone is published for email submission, so Atlas does not infer one.
The Foundation’s general grants webpage still contains an annual October 1 statement. Atlas gives precedence to the Foundation’s current 2026-specific guidelines and cover sheet, which consistently state November 1, 2026.
Eligible Applicants
Applicants must be either an IRS-designated 501(c) tax-exempt organization or an exempt governmental organization. A New Mexico state nonprofit designation by itself does not qualify. Projects must benefit residents of Lincoln County and surrounding communities. Only one application per organization will be accepted and considered.
Funding and Match
The Foundation states that the total amount granted each fiscal year varies and does not publish a current per-applicant minimum or maximum. The Foundation’s mission materials say matching funds are given preference, but the 2026 guidelines do not establish a mandatory match or cost-share requirement.
Supported Project Areas
Health examples include hospices, preventive health programs, EMS, and ambulance services. Education examples include library assistance, supplemental preschool and elementary-school programs, and literacy programs. The Foundation also considers welfare, humanities, and conservation projects. Its current mission materials state that specific projects as well as operating and capital expenses may be considered, subject to the Foundation’s review.
Required Application Package
The 2026 guidelines require a grant application cover sheet, a proposal narrative of no more than two pages, a one-page project budget, a copy of the applicant’s current IRS 501(c) designation letter when applicable, and a roster of board members and officers. Incomplete applications will not be considered. The narrative must describe the proposed project, the constituency served, tangible community impact, approximate number of beneficiaries, and how the project will help the community.

The 2026 guidelines permit applicants to mail a complete package to CFLC, Attn: Grants Committee, P.O. Box 2750, Ruidoso, NM 88355, or email it to cflcnm@gmail.com. The Foundation’s general grants page also presents an online application option. Applicants should use the current 2026 forms and verify the selected submission route before filing.
N9+ and QC Healthcare Fit
N9+ Fit Score: 82/100 conditional. A legitimate applicant-led pathway exists where an eligible Lincoln County nonprofit or governmental entity proposes a preventive-health, EMS, ambulance, or related community-care project using the Nonagon N9+ device and platform. The Foundation’s materials contemplate health projects and capital expenses, but they do not expressly confirm medical-device, software, subscription, or third-party vendor cost treatment, and no per-applicant funding ceiling is published. Those points must be confirmed before budgeting or outreach.
Dr. Miltie/QC direct-applicant status: Do not advance. The published eligibility is for qualifying tax-exempt organizations and exempt governmental organizations serving the local community. Atlas has not verified a direct Dr. Miltie/QC applicant pathway under those criteria.
