Opportunity Overview
The Connecticut Office of the Arts FY2027 Supporting Arts Grant Program provides operating and programmatic support to eligible Connecticut arts organizations and municipal arts departments. The FY27 application window closes August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET, with a funding period of October 1, 2026 through September 30, 2027.
Who Can Apply
Eligible applicants are qualifying Connecticut 501(c)(3) arts organizations and municipal arts departments. Arts organizations must have the arts as a central part of their mission and legal purpose, devote the required share of annual expenditures to artistic programming or services, maintain Connecticut operations, designate an accessibility coordinator, and satisfy the program’s organizational and financial requirements. First-time applicants must obtain eligibility confirmation before submitting.
Funding Structure
The program is designed to distribute support broadly among eligible applicants rather than operate as a conventional healthcare competition. Award amounts depend on available funds and organizational operating expenses. Atlas does not infer a fixed award beyond the current program guidance.
Allowable Uses
Supporting Arts funds may support mission-related program and operating costs such as staff and contracted professionals, occupancy, marketing and printing, travel, production, documentation, materials, and supplies. Capital improvements, debt, fundraising or social events, scholarships, political or lobbying activity, and other prohibited costs are not allowable under the program guidance.
Healthcare and School Relevance
This is primarily an arts and cultural-support program, not a healthcare grant. Its relevance to Atlas is limited to eligible arts organizations or municipal arts departments whose work intersects with schools, community wellbeing, accessibility, aging, disability, or related arts-in-health programming. Any such project must remain fundamentally consistent with the Office of the Arts mission and grant rules.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 72/100. The program is useful to eligible Connecticut arts organizations because it provides recurring organizational support, but it has limited direct healthcare and school-health applicability.
N9+ Direct Vendor Fit: 0/100. This program does not create a defensible connected-exam, telehealth, RPM, or clinical-equipment funding pathway.
Next Action
Organizations already eligible for the FY27 round should complete the Connecticut Office of the Arts e-granting application before August 31, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. New applicants should not assume they can bypass the required eligibility-confirmation process. After the deadline, Atlas will retain the record only as archived or successor-round intelligence until a new Supporting Arts cycle is verified.
