Atlas Analysis

Atlas Opportunity Score 82/100. The Culture and Care Fund supports current Operating grant partners making organization-wide improvements to staff wellbeing, organizational culture, healing, repair, and compassionate leadership. Eligibility is restricted to active Operating grant partners.

The Healing Trust’s 2026 Culture and Care Fund provides one-time support to eligible current grant partners for strategies that improve organizational culture, promote staff care, and strengthen compassionate leadership. Applications are due October 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Central Time.

Funding ranges from $5,000 to $20,000. Eligibility is restricted to organizations that are current Operating grant partners of The Healing Trust in Thriving Communities, Resilient Families, or Strengthening Democracy and have an active grant. Prior Staff Support grantees generally may apply three years after their Staff Support grant term ended, with the funder’s stated exception for Post-Election Care.

The fund supports two connected areas. Organizational Culture activities may include durable policies, systems, workplace practices, staff wellbeing infrastructure, consultant-supported organizational change, new staff wellness programs, and trauma-informed workplace strategies. Staff Care activities may include collective grief and repair, structured mental health support, processing circles, facilitated rest and renewal tied to organizational needs, workplace trauma processing, and feedback or leadership coaching. Strong applications address both areas.

A financial match is required and is based on organizational operating budget: 10% for budgets below $500,000; 20% for $500,000 to $999,999; 30% for $1 million to $2,999,999; 40% for $3 million to $4,999,999; and 50% for $5 million or more. The Healing Trust’s 2026 application handout states that the organizational match must be reflected in the project budget.

Ineligible requests include routine general capacity-building costs such as onboarding, strategic planning, executive transitions, board development, and merger activities, as well as salaries, bonuses, and healthcare benefits. Standalone stipends or retreats are not the target of the fund unless they are tied to sustainable organizational infrastructure and meet the funder’s stated criteria.

Applications are submitted through The Healing Trust’s online application process. The funder asks interested applicants to discuss their interest with Abby Hyman beginning in August 2026. Atlas Opportunity Score: 82/100. N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. This is a staff-culture and organizational wellbeing opportunity rather than a telehealth, diagnostic, remote-examination, or clinical-technology funding pathway, and no direct Dr. Miltie/QC vendor pursuit is indicated.
