3 Rivers Community Foundation (3RCF) is accepting applications for its 2026 Project/Program Grant Cycle: Targeted Funding for Projects and Programs. The current application expressly includes Healthcare, Mental Health, Substance Abuse Recovery & Prevention, Developmental Disability Support, Education, Youth, and other community sectors.
Funding: 3RCF’s published guidelines state that awards generally range from $500 to $10,000, with an average award of about $4,000 and a limited number of awards at or above $10,000. Applicants considering a request above $10,000 should contact 3RCF before applying.
Deadline: September 16, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. The Foundation’s current public materials do not state a time zone for the 5:00 p.m. cutoff, so Atlas does not infer one.
Eligibility: applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations serving Benton and Franklin counties, Washington. Organizations are limited to one application per annual cycle. The 2026 Impact Grant qualification deadline has already passed, but organizations that did not qualify for an Impact Grant may still apply for the Project/Program Grant through September 16.
Key exclusions: annual fundraising campaigns or events, capital campaigns, real-estate/building construction and feasibility capital expenses, debt reduction, endowments, use of the award as matching funds for another grant, political or lobbying activity, purchases or activities completed before the grant decision, regranting, religious worship/instruction/proselytizing, schools and PTOs, service clubs and their foundations, sponsorships, sports teams, and organizations that discriminate against protected populations. Religious-affiliated organizations may be considered when the funded activity serves the wider community without regard to religious belief.
Application requirements: applications are submitted through the 3RCF Grant Portal. The live 2026 form requires organization mission and funding-use narratives; project name, amount requested, project description, sector, implementation plan, number of people served, constituency and client-use explanations, collaboration information, endowment information, additional-funding strategy, and an alternative plan if the full request is not awarded. Required uploads include a project budget (2 MB limit), most recent annual operating budget (4 MB limit), most recent balance sheet (4 MB limit), and Board of Directors information (text or file, 2 MB limit). Optional supplemental-material upload fields are also available. No mandatory applicant match or cost-share requirement is stated in the controlling 2026 materials.
Atlas analysis: Atlas Opportunity Score 82/100. N9+ Fit Score 10/100 conditional because this is a broad local community grant rather than a technology procurement and awards are relatively small. QC Healthcare Fit 0/100 on verified scope. Dr. Miltie direct-applicant fit 0/100 because the applicant must be an eligible local 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
