Anthony F. Cordeiro Charitable Foundation is accepting applications for its 2026 Cycle 2 Fall Round for established nonprofit organizations serving families and individuals in Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
Deadline
Cycle 2 is open from July 1 through December 31, 2026. Applications must be submitted on or before the deadline date. The Foundation’s public guidance does not publish a cutoff clock time or timezone.
Funding
Grant awards range from $1,000 to $5,000. The Foundation states that $5,000 is the current maximum grant award.
Eligibility
Applicants must be established nonprofit organizations with at least three years of continuous operation and must hold valid IRS 501(c)(3) status or operate under a signed fiscal sponsorship agreement with a qualifying 501(c)(3) nonprofit. The proposed program or project must directly benefit families and individuals in the Foundation’s approved Southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island service area. Applicants must demonstrate financial health and sufficient staff or board capacity to implement the proposed work.
Program priorities
The current funding cycle identifies health and mental health services, food security, shelter, and youth development among the Foundation’s focus areas. Funding is program specific rather than general operating support.
Material restrictions
The Foundation states that funding cannot be used for administrative fees or overhead, staff salaries or executive compensation, capital campaigns or building construction, sponsorships, events or fundraising activities, grants to other foundations, debt repayment, or deficit reduction.
Application mechanics
Applications are submitted through the Foundation’s Submittable portal. The public application page sets the eligibility criteria, deadline, review factors, and submission route. The live application itself requires applicant login and controls the current form fields and any upload requirements, so applicants should review the live portal before submission.
Match and cost share
No mandatory applicant match or cost share is stated in the Foundation’s current public Cycle 2 guidance reviewed by Atlas.
Atlas assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 84/100. N9+ Fit: 45/100. Health and mental health are explicit priorities, but the $5,000 cap, program-specific structure, and absence of an express technology, telehealth, remote examination, or equipment priority make this a limited and applicant-specific technology fit. Atlas should not force an N9+ role without a verified project need and allowable budget treatment.
Dr. Miltie direct applicant fit: 0/100. The applicant must be an established qualifying nonprofit or fiscally sponsored nonprofit program.
