Opportunity Overview
The Jewish Women’s Foundation of New Jersey (JWF-NJ) is accepting applications for its Fall 2026–2027 Impact Grant cycle. Awards are competitive and may provide up to $5,000 for New Jersey-based projects that specifically empower or support women and girls.
The short-form proposal opened September 8, 2026 and is due October 9, 2026 through JWF-NJ’s Foundant grantmaking system. The public grant page does not state a submission clock time or time zone, so applicants should confirm the operative portal cutoff before relying on the date alone.
Eligibility and Geographic Focus
Applicants must be 501(c)(3) organizations, or organizations working through a fiscal agent with its own 501(c)(3) status. Funded projects must be tailored to the unique needs of self-identifying women or girls, gender-nonconforming individuals in a female space, or women with their children. JWF-NJ focuses on Northern-Central New Jersey, including Essex, Morris and Union counties, while requests from nearby in-state areas may also be considered.
For the Impact Grant, an organization must meet at least two of the Foundation’s listed criteria: the grant can make a significant impact in jumpstarting a project; the request is timely and addresses an urgent issue; the grant can cover all or most of a self-contained expense such as specific equipment; or the organization has an annual budget below $250,000.
Funding and Restrictions
The maximum request is $5,000. Project funds generally must be used by June 30, 2027, with summer-only projects permitted to use funds through August 31, 2027. JWF-NJ does not fund individuals, political campaigns or PACs, capital campaigns, endowments, loans, scholarships or tuition reimbursement, sponsorships, ticket or table purchases, or international travel.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 82/100. This is a small but flexible New Jersey foundation opportunity with a clear pathway for health, behavioral health, maternal health, school health, safety, or related projects when the project is specifically designed for women or girls and satisfies the Foundation’s geographic and organizational requirements.
N9+ Fit Score: 45/100, conditional. JWF-NJ expressly recognizes self-contained expenses such as specific equipment as a potentially eligible Impact Grant use. That creates a possible project-level pathway for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform in an appropriately designed women’s health, maternal health, school health, or access-to-care initiative. The Foundation does not, however, establish device eligibility by itself, and the $5,000 award ceiling materially limits the role of equipment. Any proposed use must be supported by the actual applicant’s project, budget, and current application rules.
Application
Applications must be submitted through the Foundation’s Foundant grantmaking system. The Fall Impact Grant access code published by JWF-NJ is JWF-IMP27.
