Opportunity Overview
Interlace Grant Fund Emergency Grants provide modest emergency assistance to eligible visual artists living in the Providence area of Rhode Island. The program is active on a monthly cycle and is intended to reduce the immediate effects of crises such as eviction, utility shutoff, healthcare expenses, and phone or internet service interruption.
Funding and Deadline
Awards range from $50 to $500. Interlace states that the regular monthly funding pool is $1,250, with unused funds rolling forward. An artist may apply more than once during a calendar year until receiving a cumulative maximum of $500.
Applications are due on the 7th of each month. The next cycle deadline after verification is October 7, 2026. The official page does not publish an exact submission time or time zone.
Eligibility
Applicants must self identify as visual artists, be at least 18 years old, have lived for at least one year in Rhode Island within a 10 mile radius of Providence, not be enrolled as full time students, and not have already received more than $500 in Interlace Emergency Grants during the calendar year. Organizations are not eligible as applicants.
Application and Program Requirements
Applications are submitted through Submittable. The official program page also provides a PDF showing the application questions. Grant funds are unrestricted and Interlace states that no grant reporting is required. No mandatory applicant match or cost share is stated.
Technology and Dr. Miltie Relevance
N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. Although healthcare expenses may qualify as an emergency need, the program does not create a legitimate role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform, remote physical examination, healthcare technology procurement, or organizational equipment acquisition.
QC Healthcare Fit Score: 0/100. The program funds individual artists rather than healthcare organizations or vendors and does not establish a clinical services or staffing pathway.
Atlas Assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 34/100. This is a verified open Rhode Island funding opportunity but is not appropriate for Dr. Miltie, N9+, or QC Healthcare outreach.
