Verified September 13, 2026. The Northampton Education Foundation is accepting applications for its Fall 2026 Small Grants to Educators cycle for projects supporting Northampton public-school learning during the 2026-2027 school year.
Funding and deadline
Standard Small Grants are available for up to $4,000 per year. Joint proposals involving genuine collaboration by two or more schools may request up to $6,500 per year. Fall 2026 applications are due Monday, October 19, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. EDT. Applications received after that deadline are considered during the Spring 2027 cycle.
Eligibility
Applications are accepted from teachers, administrators, and educators in Northampton Public Schools and Smith Vocational and Agricultural High School. Caregivers, community members, students, and local organizations may initiate projects when sponsored by and undertaken in collaboration with an eligible educator.
Program purpose and grant cycle
The program supports creative and innovative teaching and learning initiatives consistent with district goals, including projects, events, professional development, and collaboration that enhance student learning. Successful projects may be submitted again in subsequent years, with up to three grants for the same project and full funding potentially available each year. Fall-cycle projects run from December 1 through June 30 of the following calendar year. Grant disbursement requests and end-of-grant reports are due August 15 in the year the project is completed.
Submission mechanics
Applicants submit through NEF’s online fillable Small Grants application. Applicants should review the current program guidelines before completing the application. No mandatory applicant match or cost-share requirement was identified in the current public materials reviewed.
