Opportunity Overview
The PFCU Foundation for Our Communities Fall 2026 Grant Cycle is open for community grant applications through October 31, 2026. The Foundation supports projects that improve communities served by PFCU Credit Union, including health and wellness, education and financial literacy, arts, and agriculture initiatives.
Funding
The Foundation awards grants in varying amounts based on request and need. It does not publish a universal grant ceiling for this cycle and rarely funds multi year grants. Awards are generally one time unless otherwise stated.
Deadline and Submission
Applications are due October 31, 2026. The Foundation does not publish a closing clock time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one. Applications are submitted through the Foundation’s online application. Applicants that require a paper application may request one by email.
Eligibility and Geography
Eligible applicants include nonprofit organizations, community groups and registered charities. Individual community based requests may be considered case by case, although the Foundation generally does not fund individuals outside its scholarship programs. Current PFCU employees, directors and audit committee members are not eligible.
Projects must be in or serve communities within PFCU Credit Union’s field of membership. PFCU states that its field of membership has covered the entire state of Michigan since 2018, and current membership eligibility includes people who live, work, worship or attend school in Michigan.
Required Application Information
The application calls for organization contact information, project or initiative name, amount requested, a completed application form and supporting documentation. Proof of nonprofit status and a project budget should be supplied when applicable. Individual applicants must provide a letter of support. Applicants should describe the project, tangible outcomes, community impact, funding request, alignment with a Foundation giving pillar, the problem being addressed, and other solicited funding when applicable.
Funding Conditions and Exclusions
No mandatory non federal match or cost share is published for this grant cycle. The Foundation generally does not consider for profit organizations, political activities, religious organizations for denominational purposes, student group trips, projects creating undue personal benefit, or current general operating and maintenance expenses. Grantees must be able to administer the award, comply with applicable law and reporting requirements, and use funds for approved activities.
Health and Education Relevance
The Foundation’s Health and Wellness pillar supports physical fitness, mental health awareness, overall well being, outdoor recreation and social service programs. Its education and financial literacy work supports scholarships, skilled trades and youth and adult service organizations. Recent awards include health and wellness programming, recovery support, school literacy, public school agriscience and community internet access projects.
Atlas Fit Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 76/100. The program is currently open, statewide in practical geographic reach, and has clear health and education priorities, but no universal award ceiling is published.
N9+ Fit Score: 15/100. The verified program materials do not specifically identify telehealth, remote physical examinations, clinical devices or clinical care technology. Atlas does not force a role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform or QC Healthcare. Dr. Miltie, LLC is a for profit organization and is not eligible as the prime grantee under the published criteria. A downstream vendor role would require an eligible grantee, a project that fits the Foundation’s approved purpose, and confirmation that the cost is allowable.
