Sarkeys Foundation, based in Norman, Oklahoma, supports qualified charitable institutions headquartered in Oklahoma that provide services to Oklahomans. Its major areas of support include education, social service and human service needs, and cultural and humanitarian programs of statewide significance. The Foundation states a preference for applicants providing direct services to underserved populations.
Current cycle
The next Letter of Inquiry deadline is December 1, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Successful LOIs are invited to submit a full grant application for the February 1, 2027 grant deadline. Sarkeys publishes the 5:00 p.m. cutoff but does not state a time zone, so Atlas does not infer one. Organizations are encouraged not to wait until the deadline.
Eligibility and process
Applicants must be qualified 501(c)(3) organizations headquartered in Oklahoma and providing services in Oklahoma. Before submitting an LOI, the Foundation requires representatives to speak with a Sarkeys program officer for an eligibility discussion and pre-grant interview. The LOI is completed online and requires the organization name, contact information, organization description, project description, requested amount, total project cost, and federal tax ID number. Successful LOIs receive access to the full online application.
The full proposal includes an executive summary; financial and endowment information; board and employee information; organization and project descriptions; community collaboration; a line item request budget; and lists of secured funds, pledges, outstanding requests, and other potential funding sources. Organizations with assets over $500,000 must provide an audit and a letter from the auditor stating that no material weaknesses were discovered. Sarkeys accepts proposals exclusively online and does not accept faxed or emailed proposals.
No standard applicant award ceiling or mandatory applicant match is published in the controlling grant guidelines. The board may, at its discretion, make an award as a challenge grant contingent on additional fundraising. Organizations are limited to one application per calendar year or twelve month period, and organizations with a current Sarkeys grant cannot apply again until final payment has been received and expended.
Requests generally outside Sarkeys Foundation’s range of support include hospitals, direct support to government agencies, grants to individuals, purchase of vehicles, out of state institutions, annual campaigns, start up funding for new organizations, feasibility studies, profit making programs, religious institutions and subsidiaries, and most individual public or private elementary or secondary schools unless they serve a unique unmet population.
Atlas fit
Atlas Opportunity Score: 77/100. N9+ Fit Score: 48/100, conditional. The Foundation does not identify healthcare technology or medical equipment as a priority, and hospitals are generally outside its range of support. A limited applicant led pathway may exist for an eligible Oklahoma nonprofit providing direct services to underserved populations where the proposed technology is integral to an otherwise eligible social or human service project and Sarkeys confirms allowability. The Nonagon N9+ device and platform is not named or preapproved by Sarkeys, so fit should not be forced.
Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare is not treated as a direct applicant. Any legitimate role would be as a vendor or technology partner to an independently eligible Oklahoma nonprofit after project specific confirmation with the Foundation.
