Wyoming opportunity. The Wyoming Business Council SBIR Matching Grant Program provides state matching funds to qualifying Wyoming businesses that already hold an active federal Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) or Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) award.
Funding: The current Wyoming Business Council program page states that Phase I applicants may receive a match of up to $100,000 and Phase II applicants may receive a match of up to $200,000. A business may receive no more than four Wyoming SBIR matching awards over its lifetime.
Deadline: Applications are open year round and are evaluated on a rolling basis. The controlling WBC page does not publish a fixed closing date, clock time, or time zone.
Eligibility: Applicants must be Wyoming businesses with an active federal SBIR or STTR award, at least 50% of employees based in Wyoming, and a commitment to seek additional funding beyond the SBIR or STTR award. Awardees must maintain a meaningful nexus in Wyoming and complete post award reporting.
Required materials: WBC currently requires the federal award letter, IRS W 9, WBC budget form, employee information form, and pitch deck. Qualified applicants are invited to pitch virtually to the WBC team. WBC states applicants are notified within two weeks after the pitch and that the contract process can take approximately 45 days.
Submission: Applications are submitted through the Wyoming Business Council online application linked from the official program page. Applicants should review the current program rules and required forms before submission.
Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 76/100. N9+ Fit Score 0/100. QC Healthcare Fit 0/100. This is a broad Wyoming technology commercialization program. No current facts establish Dr. Miltie or QC Healthcare as a qualifying Wyoming applicant, and Atlas is not forcing a role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform.
