Stronger Hawaiʻi Fund
The Hawaiʻi Community Foundation operates the Stronger Hawaiʻi Fund to support disaster and emergency preparedness, response, recovery, mitigation, and resilience across all islands.
Nonprofits seeking support apply through the Hawaiʻi Resilience and Response Funder Collaborative, a network of more than 25 funders coordinated by FunderHui. HCF states that applicants submit one common application for review across the participating funder network.

Eligible applicants
HCF identifies nonprofit organizations, fiscally sponsored projects, and community based groups engaged in direct disaster response, recovery, or resilience efforts across Hawaiʻi as eligible, with applicants expected to demonstrate a clear connection to the communities they serve.
Funding
HCF does not publish a universal maximum request amount, standard award range, or mandatory matching requirement on the controlling Stronger Hawaiʻi page. Applicants should therefore rely on the current common application and any participating funder requirements for project specific budget rules.
Current Hurricane Lowell activity
HCF reports that, as of September 10, 2026, Stronger Hawaiʻi Initiative awards for Hurricane Lowell include support for Kauaʻi food distribution, emergency preparedness resources, rural community hubs, and information and resource navigation. Earlier Stronger Hawaiʻi awards also include mobile health services, demonstrating that health access can be relevant when tied to a verified disaster response or resilience need.
Healthcare and remote care fit
For eligible healthcare organizations, a project may potentially support mobile or outreach care continuity when that activity is directly connected to disaster response, recovery, or resilience. Where the applicant’s approved project and funder rules allow it, the Nonagon N9+ device and platform may have a legitimate role in guided remote examinations and telehealth enabled clinical encounters. Any device, implementation, consulting, or evaluation costs remain subject to the applicant’s approved scope and participating funder requirements.
