The grant is designed to help eligible communities hire vendors to produce recommendations and engineering design documents for one or more clean energy projects at municipal facilities.

Eligible Technical Support

Grant-funded technical support must examine non-fossil-fuel options that advance the community’s Climate Leader Municipal Decarbonization Roadmap. Program materials identify renewable thermal applications such as heat pumps and solar thermal, onsite solar photovoltaic applications, clean-energy resilience, energy storage, and other strategies that reduce energy use, emissions, and fossil-fuel consumption.
