The Avedis Foundation supports eligible organizations serving Pottawatomie County and the surrounding communities of Seminole, Meeker, Chandler, Prague, and Little Axe. The Foundation funds programs aligned with measurable improvements in health, wellness, quality of life, social services, civic and community initiatives, and education.
Current cycle
The next regular grant deadline is January 15, 2027. Avedis operates two regular grant cycles each year, with proposal deadlines of January 15 and August 15. The controlling public guidance does not publish an exact closing clock time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one. If a regular deadline falls on a weekend or national holiday, Avedis states that requests are due the following business day.
Eligibility and process
Eligible applicants include public agencies, educational institutions, municipalities, and other nonprofit organizations located in or serving the eligible Avedis area. Priority is given to collaborative projects involving two or more eligible organizations. Applications must be initiated and submitted through Avedis Foundation’s electronic Grant Management System. The Foundation strongly recommends a pre-application meeting with its Senior Program Director. Applicants create one organization account with one primary contact and upload requested documents in Word, Excel, or PDF format. The public guidance does not enumerate a complete universal attachment checklist. All grant recipients must execute a Grant Agreement, and a site visit may be scheduled.
Avedis does not consider requests for individuals, political or lobbying purposes, out-of-area projects, start-up funding for new organizations, general operating expenses or annual campaigns, profit-making ventures, feasibility studies, financial or loan guarantees, direct support of normal government responsibilities, sectarian religious activities, or grants prohibited by IRS rules. The current public guidance does not state a standard award ceiling, total cycle pool, or mandatory applicant match or cost share.

Avedis has a strong health and wellness focus and has previously funded diagnostic medical equipment, including an additional 3D mammography machine for SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital in Shawnee. That precedent supports a legitimate applicant-led medical-equipment pathway, but it does not pre-approve the Nonagon N9+ device and platform. Any N9+ project should be based on an independently documented local care-access or clinical-assessment need and confirmed with Avedis before budgeting.
Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare is not treated as a direct applicant because Avedis excludes profit-making ventures. The defensible role is vendor or technology partner to an independently eligible local applicant.
