Issuer: Michigan Association for the Education of Young Children, Jacquelyn H. Miller Endowment
Status: Open for the 2027 application cycle
Award: One licensed Michigan child care center will be awarded up to $2,000.
Deadline: November 1, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Michigan AEYC does not publish a time zone on the controlling page.
Eligibility: Proposed projects must take place in a licensed child care center program in Michigan and be submitted by two Michigan AEYC members committed to completing the project. Current Michigan AEYC Governing Board members and employees may not serve as the primary or secondary applicant.
Project focus: Projects must focus on Children and the Arts and/or Play Environments for Young Children and demonstrate excellence, innovation, and benefit to children and those who care for them.
Required application materials: General applicant and program information, Michigan AEYC/NAEYC member numbers, program license number, authorized program commitment and signature, project abstract, amount requested, a proposal narrative of no more than six typewritten pages, a proposal budget, and three recommendation letters. The narrative must address program context, project description, relevance and innovation, need, timeline and procedures, sustainability, and replication.
Budget rules: Ongoing operation of existing programs and refunding of identical programs are not considered. Applicant debt remains the responsibility of the applicant. Personnel costs must be itemized and justified, materials must be described and priced, and other anticipated funding sources must be disclosed. The controlling materials do not establish a mandatory matching requirement.
Submission: Submit electronically through the official 2027 application linked from the Michigan AEYC grant page.
Atlas assessment: Atlas Opportunity Score 66/100. N9+ Fit Score 0/100. This is a valid Michigan early childhood education opportunity, but its required project focus is arts and play environments. The current program does not establish a legitimate role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform or QC Healthcare, so Atlas does not force that fit. Dr. Miltie, LLC is not an eligible direct applicant under the published applicant requirements.
