Opportunity Overview

The New Orleans Community Support Foundation, a supporting organization of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is accepting Expressions of Interest for Community-Led Green Infrastructure – Round 2 Grants. The program supports community-led green stormwater infrastructure, resilience, pollution mitigation, and evaluation work in vulnerable and underserved communities across the Greater New Orleans region.

Funding and Deadline

The opportunity opened September 1, 2026. Expressions of Interest are due September 30, 2026 through the Foundation’s online application portal. The controlling public page does not state an exact closing time or time zone, so Atlas does not infer one.

Applicants may apply under one of two project stages. Stage 2, Community-Owned Implementation, provides $150,000 awards, with four awards anticipated. Stage 3, Community Evaluation & Storytelling, provides $62,500 awards, with two awards anticipated.

Eligibility and Requirements

Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations or fiscally sponsored projects and must be located in, or demonstrate a strong track record of work with, vulnerable or underserved communities in the eligible Greater New Orleans region. Eligible parishes are Assumption, Jefferson, Lafourche, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Charles, St. James, St. John the Baptist, St. Tammany, Terrebonne, Tangipahoa, and Washington.

The Foundation also requires experience with green infrastructure and community collaboration, participation in an eligible technical assistance session, capacity for program evaluation and Community of Practice participation, a Unique Entity Identifier and SAM.gov registration, written policies and procedures aligned with federal standards, and documentation of liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

Submission Process

The process begins with an online Expression of Interest. Selected applicants are expected to be invited to submit a full application during November 2026 through January 2027. The Foundation identifies September 17, 2026 at 11:30 AM as the remaining live technical assistance session for applicants who still need to satisfy that eligibility requirement.

Atlas Strategic Analysis

Atlas Opportunity Score: 28/100. The opportunity is verified, open, locally administered, and relevant to environmental well-being and community resilience, but it is outside Dr. Miltie and QC Healthcare’s core clinical and healthcare-delivery capabilities.

N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. Atlas identified no legitimate role for the Nonagon N9+ device and platform in the controlling scope. The program is focused on green stormwater infrastructure, resilience, pollution mitigation, community evaluation, and storytelling. Atlas should not force a healthcare or connected-exam use case into this opportunity.

Next Steps

Eligible nonprofit or fiscally sponsored organizations should confirm the geographic, technical assistance, UEI, SAM.gov, policy, insurance, and program-capacity requirements before submitting an Expression of Interest by September 30, 2026.
