Opportunity Overview
The Oklahoma Arts Council is accepting FY2027 applications for Classroom Supply Grants for Visual and Performing Arts. The program supports Oklahoma PreK-12 public school sites with up to $500 per site per school year for consumable, non-permanent supplies used in visual and performing arts instruction during the school day. No match is required.
Eligibility
Eligible applicants are Oklahoma PreK-12 public school sites. Each school must have at least one part-time arts instructor in the discipline for which funding is requested, and each school site may submit only one application. Oklahoma Arts Council prioritizes schools in rural counties with fewer than 50,000 residents and under-resourced schools where at least 70 percent of students are eligible for Title I assistance.
Allowable and Unallowable Costs
Allowable examples include consumable dance, theatre, music, media-art and visual-art supplies, including sheet music, consumable production materials, art media, instrument rentals or maintenance, and software rental. Permanently held equipment and capital improvements are not eligible. The published exclusions specifically include musical-instrument purchases, theatrical lighting and related permanent equipment, iPads, cameras and other technology, microphones, music stands, easels, pottery wheels, kilns and other non-consumable materials.
Application and Deadline Control
The grant portal opened August 1, 2026. New users were asked to establish a Fluxx account and complete organization verification by August 21, 2026 at 5:00 p.m.; the agency warns that applicants without an account by that date may not be able to start and submit by the application deadline. The public overview lists the application deadline as September 15, 2026 at 11:59 p.m., while the same page’s How to Apply section states that applications are due by 5:00 p.m. on the published application deadline date. No time zone is stated. Atlas therefore uses September 15, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., time zone not published as the conservative internal control unless Oklahoma Arts Council confirms otherwise.
Submission and Payment
Organizations must be verified in the Oklahoma Arts Council Fluxx grant portal before applying. The Grant Contact submits the online application; if awarded, the Authorizing Official accepts the grant contract, the school purchases the supplies and completes the project, and the Grant Contact submits the final report and support material. This is reimbursement funding: payment is processed after the final report is received and reviewed. Schools should retain receipts and purchasing records and follow applicable school and district procurement policies.
Atlas Strategic Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 52/100. This is a legitimate, low-burden Oklahoma K-12 education opportunity with no required match, but the maximum award is only $500 and the new-user portal registration date has already passed. N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. The program expressly excludes iPads, cameras, other technology and permanently held equipment, so N9+ or related connected clinical technology should not be positioned. Dr. Miltie/QC Healthcare direct-applicant fit: 0/100.
