Arizona Public Service (APS) is accepting 2026 Community Impact Grant requests from eligible organizations serving communities within the APS service territory across Arizona. APS states that these grants respond to diverse community needs and give additional consideration to programs serving under-resourced populations. Funding is provided by APS shareholders and is not included in customer rates.
Funding and deadline
Deadline: October 1, 2026. APS accepts requests annually from February 1 through October 1. The current APS program page does not publish a closing hour or time zone, so applicants should not assume an end-of-day cutoff.
APS does not publish a standard minimum award, maximum award, or total 2026 Community Impact Grants funding pool on the current program page. No mandatory match or cost-share requirement is stated on the current public program page.
Eligibility and geography
The primary Community Impact Grant application is for 501(c)(3) organizations. APS also provides a separate application route for cities, towns, and government entities. Nonprofits must be located in or provide services within APS service territory and may apply once annually. APS requires one all-inclusive annual request per organization, which may cover multiple eligible events or projects and may include eligible in-kind support.
Organizations excluded by the published criteria include startups whose IRS ruling year is less than three years old, individuals and individual scholarships, purely denominational religious organizations or programs, legislative or lobbying efforts, animal shelters or agencies, organizations outside APS service territory, pass-through grantmaking entities, discriminatory organizations, sports or scouting programs, organizations whose primary mission is funding medical or scientific research, certain endowment/debt-reduction/capital or building campaigns, and competitions.
Priority areas and healthcare relevance
APS organizes its community work around Arizona’s Growth and Prosperity and Human Services, including education and employment, human services, environment, community development, and related community needs. The program can be relevant to healthcare-adjacent human-services, rural-community, aging, behavioral-health-support, population-health, and social-needs initiatives when the applicant and project otherwise meet APS rules. Primary medical or scientific research organizations are specifically excluded.
The public Community Impact Grants page does not provide a detailed technology, equipment, professional-services, or vendor-cost allowability schedule. Any N9+, telehealth, remote examination, RPM, care-management technology, or Dr. Miltie vendor role must therefore be confirmed with APS before budgeting or outreach.
Submission and contacts
APS moved Community Impact applicants to a Blackbaud grantee portal. Applicants without an existing Blackbaud account must create one. APS asks that event-sponsorship requests be submitted at least 90 days before the event and states that it aims to review grant requests within 60 days. Grant notifications may come from noreply@yourcause.com.

Atlas fit assessment
Atlas Opportunity Score: 82/100. N9+ Fit: 18/100 conditional. QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100. Dr. Miltie direct-applicant fit: 0/100. APS offers a legitimate Arizona community-funding pathway, but the current public rules do not establish a specific connected-care technology or healthcare-vendor cost category. Atlas will not force fit. Applicant-specific advancement should occur only after confirming APS service-territory eligibility, the organization’s annual-application status, project alignment, and the allowability of any proposed technology or vendor cost.
