The Iowa Department of Education’s 2027 Iowa STEM Teacher Award is an open statewide recognition opportunity for eligible Iowa PK-12 teachers. This is an individual teacher award, not a general school-system grant or vendor procurement opportunity.
Nominations close September 30, 2026 at 4:59 PM Central Time. Only teachers who have been nominated may apply. Nominated-teacher applications close October 14, 2026 at 4:59 PM Central Time, and the IowaGrants notice states that deadline extensions will not be granted.
One teacher in each of Iowa’s six STEM regions will receive $3,000 total: $1,500 for personal use and $1,500 for classroom use. Eligible nominees are licensed, full-time PK-12 Iowa teachers in public or accredited nonpublic schools who incorporate STEM into their classrooms and spend at least 75% of their working time interacting with students. Self-nominations and previous STEM Teacher Award recipients are not eligible.
Atlas assessment: 45/100. N9+ fit: 0/100. QC Healthcare fit: 0/100. This is a teacher-recognition award with a nomination prerequisite and does not create a legitimate Dr. Miltie applicant or technology-vendor pathway. No speculative applicant, CRM Deal, or WorkDrive pursuit should be created until a specific nominated teacher is independently verified.
The nominated teacher application requires contact and professional information, five short essay responses, and allows optional supporting documents. Iowa’s notice also requires any AI-assisted content to remain factually accurate and properly attributed; applicant-specific statements must not be fabricated.
