Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP Competition (Opportunity AC-08-20-2026; Assistance Listing 94.002) is an open federal competition in which Colorado organizations may seek support to engage adults age 55 and older in volunteer service addressing community needs.
Deadline: Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
Funding: the current Grants.gov synopsis does not publish a total program funding amount, award floor, award ceiling, or expected number of awards. Applicants must use the FY 2027 Notice and Appendix E: Unduplicated Volunteer, Federal Share, and Match Calculators to determine the controlling applicant-specific federal-share request and required match.
Match / cost share: mandatory cost sharing or matching applies. Grants.gov marks the competition’s Cost Sharing or Matching Requirement as “Yes,” and AmeriCorps publishes a FY 2027 Federal Share and Match Calculator for the competition. Because Atlas does not advance unapproved mandatory non-Federal match commitments, no Colorado applicant pursuit should be advanced until the applicant’s exact match obligation and approved sources are confirmed.
Eligibility and geography: the competition is open across all states and territories. Eligible applicants include state, county, city/township, and special district governments; federally recognized Tribal governments and other Tribal organizations; public and nonprofit private institutions of higher education; and qualifying nonprofit organizations with or without 501(c)(3) status. Private institutions of higher education must be nonprofit.
Program priorities relevant to Colorado health and community care: AmeriCorps expressly prioritizes supporting older adults and caregivers through respite, support groups, system navigation, care coordination and resources; behavioral-health initiatives addressing mental health, isolation, substance use, harm reduction, peer support and recovery; older-adult workforce re-entry; family support; homelessness reduction; and fraud/scam prevention. RSVP volunteers are age 55 or older.
Submission / forms: applications are submitted through AmeriCorps eGrants. The current competition package includes the FY 2027 Notice of Funding Opportunity; Appendix A Grant Application Instructions; Appendix B RSVP Performance Measure Instructions; Appendix C Terms and Definitions; Appendix D Training and Technical Assistance Resources; and Appendix E Unduplicated Volunteer, Federal Share, and Match Calculators. AmeriCorps also posts the FY 2027 competition FAQ, application checklist, sample budget narrative, sample work plans, and pre-award compliance resources. Applicants should use the live AmeriCorps competition page and Grants.gov record as controlling for any updates.

Procurement / eligible-cost controls: this is a federal grant supporting an RSVP volunteer-service project, not a medical-device procurement. Costs, indirect costs, performance measures, criminal-history checks, due-diligence requirements, and other expenditures are governed by the FY 2027 Notice, applicable AmeriCorps terms, 2 CFR Part 200 and RSVP program regulations. Atlas does not represent N9+, telehealth equipment, remote physical-examination technology, or other Dr. Miltie products/services as allowable costs without explicit applicant-specific confirmation.
Atlas Analysis
Atlas Opportunity Score: 86/100. N9+ Fit Score: 0/100. QC Healthcare / other Dr. Miltie fit: 0/100. Dr. Miltie direct-applicant fit: 0/100.
The opportunity is highly relevant to Colorado aging, caregiver support, behavioral health, care coordination, workforce and community-health intelligence, but it funds volunteer-service infrastructure rather than clinical technology or remote physical examination. No commercial fit is forced.
Provisional Colorado applicant prospects: Volunteers of America Colorado — 96/100 applicant opportunity score; Spark the Change Colorado — 95/100. Both currently operate AmeriCorps Seniors RSVP programs in Colorado, making them realistic screening prospects for continuation/expansion or other eligible FY 2027 pathways, subject to the controlling Notice, service-area rules, federal-share calculation and mandatory match approval. Atlas should not create applicant-specific outreach, packages or Deals until the mandatory non-Federal match requirement is explicitly approved.
