Hellene Henrikson Legacy Fund of the Lutheran Church of the Foothills — Fall 2026 Grant Round
The Hellene Henrikson Legacy Fund of the Lutheran Church of the Foothills, administered through the Community Foundation for Southern Arizona (CFSA), is accepting project-based applications supporting immigrant individuals, families, and communities in Southern Arizona. Eligible efforts may include access to food, housing, clothing, mental and physical healthcare, help navigating cultural, social, and systemic barriers, and economic-stability programs.
Funding: Applicants may request up to $15,000; requests above $15,000 may be considered. The fund expects to award $60,000 total, with the objective of supporting approximately four applications.
Deadline: October 11, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. Arizona time. The application opened September 8, 2026. The grant period is November 1, 2026 through October 31, 2027.
Eligible applicants: 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations in good standing that are based in and perform charitable work in Pima, Santa Cruz, or Cochise County. Applicants must have local leadership through a board or advisory committee, local financial support, and local program management and accountability. The proposed program must directly benefit communities in the eligible Southern Arizona counties.
Ineligible applicants/uses: The fund does not make grants to individuals, for-profit organizations, government entities, capital fund drives, agency endowments, individual schools, or for sectarian purposes. The official public grant page does not state a mandatory match or cost-share requirement.
Grantmaking priorities: Preference is given to organizations that involve staff, volunteers, and participants in project planning and implementation; can define measurable outcomes and collect data demonstrating progress; and can describe how the organization or program will be sustained beyond the grant period.
