The Vermont Children’s Trust Foundation (VCTF) offers quarterly Equipment Grants and rolling Emergency Equipment Grants for Vermont primary-prevention programs serving children ages 0–18.

Funding and deadlines

Equipment Grant awards shall not exceed $2,000. The next quarterly deadline is October 31, 2026 for November awards. The controlling page does not publish a deadline time or time zone. Emergency Equipment Grants are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Eligibility and allowable uses

Eligible applicants are private nonprofits and public entities, including towns and schools. Regulated child care programs must be in good standing with the Vermont Child Development Division, applicants must be current on Vermont taxes and prior VCTF reporting, and funded equipment must be transferable. Equipment requests must address discrete project needs or replacement of vital resources. Emergency examples include equipment lost to disaster, broken, destroyed or stolen equipment, or specialized equipment needed by a child.

VCTF does not fund individuals, for-profit organizations or construction. Shipping, warranties and taxes are ineligible, and the guidelines list additional excluded child/playground items.

Application

Applications are submitted electronically through the VCTF applicant portal. Applicants using a fiscal agent must provide the fiscal agent’s Tax ID, mailing address and fiscal-year timing. Attachments cannot be added after final submission. Awardees must provide a final report and equipment receipts within 30 days of funding.

Atlas fit

Atlas Opportunity Score: 64/100. N9+ Fit: 5/100 conditional. QC Healthcare Fit: 0/100. The program is relevant to Vermont schools, nonprofits and child-serving organizations, but the $2,000 ceiling and general equipment rules do not establish a practical or allowable N9+ purchase. Atlas will not infer device allowability without applicant-specific confirmation.
